LONGSPRING SPORT HORSES Birthplace of Champions The stud was founded in 1982 with the importation of the fully licensed Hanoverian stallion DISTELFINK from Germany. His first foals were the start of many offspring proving themselves at top level including internationally. Distelfink died at the age of 26 but his sons and daughters are carrying on the tradition and providing New Zealand with some of its best horses. Longspring Stud has retained the best of these lines and a number are for sale to discerning riders. Stallions at Stud There is a selection of 6 stallions at stud representing proven bloodlines.
