BLOODLINES
LORD THOMAS' LS sire LORD LARINO LS is a son of LARINO, a Grand Prix Showjumper in his own right. LARINO is a son of the sports horse producer of the 21st century, Olympic CONCORDE. Concorde already has a great number of children that perform at international level. Larino has in his pedigree four famous and successful showjumper producers. At Ermelo during the 70-day Performance Test, Larino was described by the jury as a stallion who jumps with a very good foreleg technique and a very good use of the back. Larino shows a lot of scope and has a superb canter.
Under Peter Geerink, Larino became a successful Grand Prix jumper. In the fall of 2001, the grey stallion made his Grand Prix debut and placed second in The Hague, finished second and third in Valkenswaard, and posted a fantastic clear round in the team competition at Rotterdam, in addition to tying for sixth place in the Grand Prix. Furthermore, Larino ended sixth in the Dutch Championships in Mierlo, the youngest horse to show at that venue. The stallion's other achievements include finishing fourth in the Grand Prix of Hickstead, fifth in the Grand Prix of Bremen and first in the team competition. Larino also won the VHO Trophy competition in 2003.
Lord Thomas is out of the mare TOM GIRL by DISTELFINK. DISTELFINK was the leading sire of showjumpers and events in NZ for more than 15 years. See link here
