BLOODLINES

DAIMLER LS is of course by the legendary sire DISTELFINK. His dam was Tailor Maid LS,  a very tall good looking mare. Her second foal DAYLIGHT LS was a Grand Prix showjumper with Phillip Steiner before his sale overseas. DAIMLER LS was her third foals.

This is a family that has always produced size going back to his great grandmother PHILOHNIAM who was a 17 hand thoroughbred mare whose full sister was GOING GRAY an A grade  showjumper with the Illston family.  His grandmother was WITZLEBEN by WITZBOLD, reknowned in New Zealand for producing showjumpers MONOPOLY (Canadian   showjumping team) and LUDO - both started in jumping with John Cottle. WITZBOLD also produced top dressage horses including   MOSAIC, PLAYSKOOL and many others.

His dam TAILOR MAID is a 3/4 sister to TRUE STORY LS who sold to the USA as a dressage horse.

DAIMLER LS was only used over one or two mares a year as his bloodlines were too close for most mares. And he tended to produce chestnut fillies which were retained by the stud (see Horses for Sale).
