DOWNTON ABBEY LS is quite simply one of our best bloodlines as the last foal of TOP LADY from the SUPER MOTH family. She is a great looking young mare and at 3 would be a great winter project to break in and set for a jumping career in the spring.

BLOODLINES

DARKMINSTER by DISTELFINK was bred by Maurice Beatson for a showjumping career but an injury meant he retired to stud. His oldest progeny include DARK SIDE OF THE MOON LS who is eventing in the UK with Bundy Philpott and DIRECTOR LS who is a 2** eventer with Beth Wilson.  DIRECTOR LS is also for sale and now being marketed locally and overseas by Joanne Bridgeman.

DARKMINSTER was bred by Maurice Beatson but an injury put a stop to a career showjumping! He was by the foundation sire DISTELFINK whose progeny hold a record in terms of success in all equestrian disciplines. His dam was by the TB WESTMINSTER who was also valued as a sire of good eventers!

​TOP LADY LS represents LONGSPRING'S top bloodlines through SUPER MOTH (out of a full sister) who with John Cottle won 75 SJ classes, 44 at Grand Prix Level. His sire Tribune was by TRIC TRAC producer of top SJ'ers and Eventers inc Andrew Hoy's Kiwi. Top Lady LS herself was 3rd in the 3 Yr Old Free Jumping at the 2002 Horse of the Year Show.
