Birthplace of Champions
The stud was founded in 1982 with the importation of the fully licensed Hanoverian stallion DISTELFINK from Germany. His first foals were the start of many offspring proving themselves at top level including internationally.
Distelfink died at the age of 26 but his sons and daughters are carrying on the tradition and providing New Zealand with some of its best horses. Longspring Stud has retained the best of these lines and a number are for sale to discerning riders.

We offer all youngstock for sale but do retain the best fillies if not sold at a level reflecting their pedigree.

Many years have passed since we first started ... and a crashed computer has meant that we are not totally up to play with all the wonderful horses by our stallions. We would love to hear from you with photos and/or video telling us about your special horse so we can profile it on our website.
