Sire

TIGER MOTH LS is out of a full sister to the legendary JEEP SUPER MOTH who won more than 75 classes including 44 at GP level and is by TRIBUNE who is a TB with the valuable French bloodlines going back to Veux Manoir. Tribune was by TRIC TRAC who still holds a major place on the NZ all time career wins for showjumping progeny notably because of his sons NATIONWIDE and MR KINCAID; and eventer KIWI who was on the Australian Event Team with Andrew Hoy.  NATIONWIDE won the Horse of the Year title twice with Maurice Beatson and MR KINCAID once.

TRIBUNE himself produced notable offspring including CHIEF JUSTICE bred by Jenny & Campbell Draper who was a top young event horse before being sold to Australia for top money.

DENISE LS is a tall and very attractive mare, DENISE has top bloodlines being by the legendary DISTELFINK out of the same mare as past stud sire TRIBUNE. Her first foal BE HAPPY competed in Auckland with a young rider.

Information

Timbuktu LS is the first foal for 9 years from the mare Denise – she was just such a good type and doer that we didn’t have the heart to put her down. She has now gone on to produce an outstanding colt by Watchman xx (2003 Colt) and is (fingers crossed) in foal again. So Trimbucktu LS with the assistance of resident reproduction specialist Victoria started her off breeding again!  and we are certainly glad we persevered!

Timbuktu is a beautiful horse that has a strong TB type outline, Timbuktu shows an enormous jumping talent (see video from link on the right) and has fabulous movement that suit the showhunter/eventing markets. He is lighter in type so would make an ideal event horse.

Timbuktu LS was broken in as a four year old and then turned out again to mature he has just come back into work now. He was sensible in his attitude and seems keen to please his rider.  He has an impressive jump and is an ideal prospect for the rider targeting the Age Series in showjumping or a top level eventer.
