Horses in Competition
We have been off the radar for a few years but starting in 2009/10, the Longspring Team is heading back out on the road. Starting in 2010/11 season we expect to be competing a team of up to 6 young horses ranging in age from 4 to 6. Most of these will be for sale.
Timbuktu LS
Timbuktu LS (Tiger Moth LS – Denise by Distelfink) Timbuktu LS is an attractive young horse with a super jump he has an exceptional style in particular amazing use of his back. He loves to jump and is always clean. He is a thinker and can work out his own spots this horse is a true eventing type.
Troy LS
Troy LS (Tiger Moth LS – Dolly LS by Distelfink) is out of a mare bred on a similar cross to the international eventer GV Braveheart (Distelfink – Aureatta by Aureate II) that was placed 7th in the 1998 WEG with Australian rider Olivia Bunn but with a cross to Novel Kingdom being the sire of John Cottle’s Grand Prix showjumper Watch Me. He is a beautiful big strong horse with an attractive face, blaze and event stockings behind, Troy is a real eyecatcher. His movement is outstanding as is his jumping.
