Distelfink Leading Sire of Broodmares
For the second year in a row and only the second time calculated, DISTELFINK, the foundation sire at Longspring Stud in the Wairarapa was named Leading Broodmare Sire at the 2011 Global Performance Horses Young Horse Championships for 4, 5, 6 & 7 year old horses held the last weekend in January 2011.
He was represented by 8 horses at the show including Dunstan Springfield, NRM Amillion MVNZ, NRM Coloraddo MVNZ, Mr Wiggle, Giggles, Eon, Dansing and LC Funny Lass. Mr Wiggle won the 4 Year Old Style Prize and the 4 Year Old Championship title.
